For Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 October

Rain soaks Tyrol today while the west and south stay dry

Monday brings a wet band across western Austria, with around 5 to 10 mm, and showers spilling into Graubünden and the Dolomites. West of that line, from Valais and the northern French Alps to Bern and Germany, it stays dry through Tuesday and most parks sit in hero dirt. Tuesday dries out almost everywhere, with small exceptions in the southern French Alps, Scuol and La Palma.

Western Austria takes a soaking

Tyrol and Vorarlberg get the heaviest rain in the report today, 5 to 10 mm with rain chances around 90 percent. Bikepark Innsbruck and Bike Republic Sölden both see around 10 mm, Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis and Ischgl - Samnaun a little less.

Tuesday is mostly dry, though Sölden may add another 2 mm. Expect soft trails into tomorrow. Brandnertal gets the lightest dose at about 5 mm, but it holds water more than most of our parks, so it will stay damp longer. Serfaus drains a bit better than average and should come back sooner.

Monday's forecast, with a wet band of 5 to 10 mm over Tyrol and Vorarlberg and showers into Graubünden and the Dolomites.

Graubünden and the Dolomites: showers, then clearing

Chur Alpenbikepark gets around 5 mm today, Lenzerheide around 4, St Moritz 3 with another 2 on Tuesday, and Davos Klosters about 2. Chur drains faster than almost any park we track, so it should recover quickly. Disentis Sedrun stays dry. Scuol is the odd one out: around 3 mm today and 8 mm on Tuesday.

In Italy, Reschen Pass takes about 6 mm, Canazei and Sellaronda about 5, with a little more tomorrow. Both Dolomite areas hold water, so they will stay soft. Mottolino in Livigno gets only a millimetre or so each day, but its ground holds water more than nearly any other park. Kronplatz gets 2 mm today and sheds it easily.

Valais, Bern and central Switzerland stay dry

West of the rain, Switzerland looks excellent. Zermatt, Verbier, Crans-Montana, Biel and Bern Gurten see no meaningful rain either day. In the Bernese Oberland, Grindelwald-First, Mürren-Schilthorn and Aletsch Arena are all in hero dirt.

Zürich Uetliberg, Zug and Pilatus show high rain chances today but almost nothing in the gauge, and Tuesday is dry. The exception is Champéry, which scores wet at 27 despite dry weather; nearby Morgins is in hero dirt.

French Alps dry, a little rain south

Morzine, Les Gets, Châtel and La Clusaz stay dry both days, all in hero dirt. Further south, Serre Chevalier and Les Orres are dry today but pick up 3 to 4 mm tomorrow. Both are among the fastest-draining, sunniest parks we track, so it should not linger. Lac Blanc sits at variable despite the dry forecast.

Tuesday's forecast, drying almost everywhere apart from light rain at Scuol, the southern French Alps and La Palma East.

Germany, eastern Austria and Slovenia dry

Geißkopf, Willingen and Winterberg stay dry. Saalbach and Leogang show high rain chances today but no rain forecast, and Ossiacher See is in hero dirt. Maribor Pohorje is dry, with gusts around 30 km/h on Tuesday.

Ticino, Liguria and further afield

Monte Bar leads Ticino at 78 with no rain expected; Monte Tamaro is in hero dirt but cool, around 12 to 14°C. Finale Ligure scores 84, firm and fast, edging towards dusty.

La Palma South stays dry at 82. La Palma East faces around 6 mm on Tuesday, but it holds less water than almost any park and drains fast. Whistler is dry both days.
